Our Team:


The Transportation Analyst is responsible for ensuring Sanofi CHC’s transportation services meet or exceed customer expectations while staying within the established freight budget for the company. This will be accomplished by monitoring, measuring, and reporting carrier performance and related expenses. The Analyst will also be responsible for operational functions required for movement of inbound (domestic and international) and third-party freight by exercising discretion in pricing and timelines and securing capacity.

The work schedule is Monday- Friday, 8:00 - 5:00 PM with occasional overtime at our Chattanooga, TN office.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage all 3P shipments with minimal oversight through RFP, carrier selection, volume award, and on-time delivery.
  • Work internally with Customer Service, Planning, and Assembly to ensure ship requirements are communicated and achievable; Quickly resolve any issues as they arise.
  • Manage shipment status program with superior levels of proactive response.
  • Find causes and solutions to freight issues, ensuring customer delivery requirements are met.
  • Develop performance analysis by customer and carrier regarding complete, damage-free, on-time deliveries.
  • Identify, recommend, and develop processes for improving transportation service for carriers and customers.
  • Implement programs to achieve and maintain high service levels relating to customer delivery.
  • Maintain communication (verbal and electronic) with carriers throughout the day, as needed, including nights and weekends.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and ensure all 3P shipments have adequate carrier support to meet customer expectations.
  • Work closely with Assembly to ensure production schedules allow lead time to meet carrier requirements.
  • Collaborate with all 3P management to ensure loading times are available and carriers provide requested equipment (load locks, trailer pools, etc.).
  • Develop metrics for all 3P projects.
  • Utilize 3P metrics to enhance customer service levels while maximizing profitability.
  • Interact with customers verbally and electronically to secure delivery appointments, ensuring customer service levels are satisfied.
  • Obtain and provide shipment status and delivery information.
  • Monitor delivery patterns for major accounts to manage delivery schedules more effectively.
  • Electronically track shipments daily to meet delivery commitments and requirements, proactively responding to determine solutions to delivery issues; constantly develop and implement methods to ensure continuous improvements.
  • Maintain necessary documentation.
  • Create processes for tracking trends and developments with both carriers and customers pertaining to shipment deliveries.
  • Initiate requests for pickup of goods returned from customers who have received incorrect orders with follow-up.
  • Recognize problems and find solutions.
  • Develop reports to analyze data and measure performance.
  • Assist with special projects as requested.

About you

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, preferred
  • 2 years of Supply Chain or Transportation experience.
  • Preferred experience in consumer healthcare, Mass Merchant retail (Walmart, Target, etc.) and Pharmacy/ Drug retail (Walgreens, CVS, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Role Specific Competencies: Strong analytical skills. Constant computer and telephone use will be required.
  • Experience with SAP and/or JD Edwards (JDE) a plus.
  • Ability to multi task

Special Requirements: 

  • Position is at Sanofi CHC’s Wauhatchie Pike facility.
  • This position requires the ability to travel.
  • Minimal overnight travel requirements (<10%).
