About the job
A new opportunity has become available as Digital Head e-Commerce. In this role, you will be responsible for accelerating Sanofi’s Digital Transformation and delivering Business Impact through a Best-in-Class customer on-line buying experience. You will also lead the Digital Product Line driving executional excellence across Sanofi, for all GBUs, and are responsible for defining, leading and implementing strategic initiatives in eCommerce in close partnership with senior business leadership in order to maximize revenue for the company.

Deeply connected to Sanofi’s corporate Strategy, e-Commerce plays a strategic role in enabling Sanofi’s Go-to-Market Transformation delivering competitive advantage for key Products through a Best-in-Class buying experience and by supporting Product Launches. Sanofi aims to have expected growth of e-commerce (> 25 % CAGR until 2026 and beyond) across the global business units.
Main Responsibilities
The Global Head of Digital eCommerce within Digital GBU is accountable for accelerating Sanofi’s Digital Transformation and delivering Business Impact through a Best-in-Class customer on-line buying experience.
The Digital Head of e-commerce leads the Digital Product Line driving executional excellence across Sanofi, for all GBUs, and is responsible to define, lead & implement strategic initiatives in eCommerce in close partnership with senior business leadership in order to maximize revenue for the company.
Set direction and make decisions related to Sanofi’s eCommerce Digital activity & associated Product Line to
Refine Sanofi’s cross-GBU strategy of Where & How to Play in eCommerce in Top & Scale Markets with senior leaders, validated by executive governance (Digital Tower)
Establish a business-driven Digital Product Vision & Strategy meeting strategic business objectives, delivering Best in Class customer experience & enabling agility and innovation at scale. To be led in collaboration with Digital Architecture and eCommerce Delivery teams
Translate strategy into Strategic Programs & Roadmaps such as US OneShop
Ruthlessly prioritize across all demands & allocate resources frugally (build & run)
Set targets for end-to-end operational OKR/ KPIs (availability, performance) with digital teams responsible for foundational solutions (SAP, Middleware, Data)
Validate Product Line evolutions.
Implement a streamlined Glocal digital operating model providing clear accountabilities & flawless execution & operations in alignment with glocal eCommerce business teams
Communicate on strategic objectives & value delivery to build enterprise awareness
Is accountable for all eCommerce Solutions including lifecycle, design, development, across all service providers
Work with Cybersecurity and compliance team to ensure adherence to global legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
In addition, the role is accountable to
Shape Sanofi’s vision of Best-in-Class eCommerce customer experience, with Consumer Experience team, leveraging external benchmarks & research.
Drive Strategic Programs & Roadmaps with business & digital stakeholders, delivering on commitments.
Assess market demands with Digital Market leads & test potential new offers, epics & features
Lead business & digital Glocal governance for joint decision making & value realization
Define & track robust Impact OKRs/ KPIs, using feedback to drive product enhancements.
manage eCommerce Solution evolutions & upgrades, ensuring compliance & upgrades
ensure flawless integration with iShift (SAP) & other major digital initiatives (US, France, others)
operate & support eCommerce Solutions in close collaboration with business eCommerce, customer service & AIMS external support teams
manage incidents and problems
The role will be a reference for Outside-In view on e-Commerce, continuously following customer & market evolutions, best practices & emerging technologies across industries, working with Consumer Experience, Digital Innovation, Global and Local Trade and Business teams among others.
With business stakeholders the role will refine cross GBU/Global Business Unit eCommerce Impact KPIs & targets, such as Customer Satisfaction, Sales Conversion Rate, % of Online Sales, & BOI, building robust automated KPI tracking capabilities to enable a data driven approach. This involves setting up an eCommerce KPI data ecosystem spanning across multiple digital solutions including but not limited to SAP eCommerce, SAP, Google Analytics, Qualtrics, Snowflake & PowerBI.

Experience:
Digital Strategy and Governance
Business Case and Value Realization Tracking
Digital Product, Portfolio & Program Leadership in Commercial Systems
Experience in IT Solutions or in a business leadership role accompanying IT solution development is required
Experience in eCommerce Digital Product leadership in or outside of Pharma industry
Experience running UX initiatives and/or leading AI or Big data initiatives
Knowledge of Sanofi business stakeholders & ecosystem

Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Product lifecycle, processes, functions and solutions (Market Access, Commercial, Trade, Medical, Supply Chain)
Knowledge of Sanofi portfolio & business stakes a plus
Knowledge of eCommerce & Related Solutions (SAP, Contracting & Pricing, Data solutions)
Digital Planning processes (Strategic, Long Range & Workforce Planning, Budget, Portfolio)
Digital Product Management & Consumer Experience
Data & Analytics
IT Lifecycle Management, Software Engineering & Quality Practices
Education: Advanced Scientific, Business or Engineering Degree
Languages: English a must, French a plus, other languages a plus
