Associate Director, Omnichannel Strategy, US Vaccines

To enable Sanofi’s Play to Win ambition, and to compete and win in an ever-changing and increasingly competitive healthcare environment, we have created the Marketing Operations and Execution Team, of which the Omnichannel Engagement Strategy Team for US Vaccines plays a critical role.

The Team:

You will be joining the Marketing Operations and Execution Team within US Sanofi Vaccines. You will be an integral member of the team and will work closely with the US Marketing Franchises and the US Transversal Omnichannel Team.

Job Description Summary:

The US Vaccines Omnichannel Engagement Strategist is responsible for leading the development and execution of an integrated HCP and/or Consumer digital omnichannel strategy for assigned US Vaccines brand(s) to maximize value and achieve target KPIs aligned to performance goals and customer experience.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Lead the development and execution of the assigned US Vaccine brand’s digital omnichannel strategy into integrated and sequenced campaigns that leverages the unique vaccine selling and B2B environment to better meet customer needs and preferences
  • Plan and measure omnichannel campaigns, adjusting to changing competitive landscape and/or changing HCP and/or consumer vaccination behaviors and beliefs
  • Partner with internal functions (e.g., Advanced Analytics, omnichannel media and channel leads, AI, Omnichannel Enablement) to ensure omnichannel campaign is grounded in customer insights, ROI/performance, behavioral objectives, and competitive activities
  • Serve as liaison with US Transversal Omnichannel Team in the development of assets for the omnichannel campaign, from concept to MLR approval to deployment (e.g., website content, promotional emails, third-party digital tactics, etc.). 
  • Design customer journey maps (for HCPs, Consumers, and other customer types) and drives alignment of brand content and digital channels to deliver superior customer experiences
  • Manage and report on omnichannel campaign performance with emphasis on analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Continuously iterate and improve omnichannel campaigns and journey maps to reflect engagement metrics, customer feedback, and ever-changing US healthcare environment
  • If applicable to assigned US Vaccine brand(s), lead the development of Next Best Action (NBA) and/or Nest Best Content (NBC) programs to enable adaptive customer engagement optimization; lead the development of KPIs measuring the success/learnings of NBA and NBC programs
  • Champion new ways of working and successfully leverage digital technology/AI, insights, market research and analytics to drive impactful investment decisions, a climate of continuous measurement and performance improvement, and agile execution of omnichannel campaigns
  • Establish trusted partnership with cross-functional partners and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with US Vaccines Franchises on a process to share information and experiences, leverage initiatives across the portfolio where appropriate to enhance omnichannel efforts
  • Drive a vaccine marketing cultural change towards a truly customer-centric model that is insights driven and externally focused
  • Identify unmet digital needs, define potential solutions for unmet needs, seek approval to develop/deploy these innovative solutions in a compliant manner for the assigned US Vaccines brand, and assist in scaling these successful solutions to provide full value to the US Vaccines Commercial Team
  • Maintain view of the competitive digital landscape and has a broad perspective across Sanofi and industry to identify and drive best practices
  • Drive innovation culture by continually challenging the status quo to adopt new digital approaches through experimentation
  • Contribute to the development of annual strategic integrated marketing plans aligned to business goals
  • Partner with US Vaccines and other US BU Omnichannel Strategists to magnify omnichannel capabilities and effort and share best practices
  • Provide omnichannel thought leadership with US Vaccines Franchise Leads
  • Identify insight gaps and recommend market research to meet omnichannel goals and/or monitor performance
  • Be a renowned and credible “go-to” expert for Marketers at all levels, coaching and sharing knowledge when and where required
  • Champion a common, consistent omnichannel language throughout the US Vaccines Commercial Team
  • Provide budget recommendations to marketing team to realize omnichannel strategy
  • Manage and optimize assigned budget, if applicable

Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5+) years of US pharmaceutical or vaccine experience
  • Minimum of seven (7+) years of omnichannel strategy and execution experience
  • Proven ability to quickly grasp, assimilate, and condense key market landscape and customer insights to develop a highly impactful omnichannel strategy and digital execution plan
  • Demonstrated understanding of the unique vaccine B2B selling model and account management
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, creative problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Analytical Acumen: Superior analytical ability, assessing different omnichannel models and related outputs
  • Proactive leadership and collaboration skills to establish strong networks
  • Passion for transformation; a strong desire and curiosity to continuously learn and improve self and others
  • Brings a relentless drive and curiosity to assess and define the key value drivers, areas of focus, and brand narrative to improving business performance and customer experiences across our key audience segments
  • Strong organizational awareness; ability to navigate, leverage, collaborate and deliver results within the matrix and operating culture
  • Excellent written and oral communication/presentation skills in English
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a strong, clear, simple, and compelling manner to senior leaders
  • Experience influencing without direct authority
  • Budget management experience
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices

Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5+) years of US vaccine experience
  • Experience with agile ways of working

Education:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
  • MBA degree is preferred
