Responsibilities

Director Project Management Function Transversal Portfolio

(Swiftwater, PA) Responsible to ensure the Transversal project portfolio is delivered on time, in budget, and with the defined results. The Transversal project portfolio encompasses all projects at the Swiftwater site that are not in the Bulk Manufacturing or Formulation, Filling, Inspection, and Packaging (FFIP) project portfolios. Provide the leadership and direction to align the Transversal projects with Sanofi/Sanofi Pasteur standards for project management.

The Director will work with functional management to:  Manage the Transversal portfolio of projects, Drive the continuous improvement of performance in Transversal projects, Ensure Transversal projects comply with company standards and align with site Vaccines Industrial Affairs (VIA) Project Management Function (PMF) requirements and processes, Assess Transversal project resource capacity, analyze against project demand, and work with stakeholders to resolve resource gaps Ensure project metrics accuracy, timeliness, and tool alignment, Apply best practices and lessons learned in portfolio management, project management, and resource management and Assure transparency of Transversal portfolio and project information.

Key accountabilities:

*Portfolio and Project Management: Manage the Transversal portfolio of projects.

•Implement and maintain portfolio management governance processes to identify, categorize, monitor, evaluate, select, prioritize, balance, and authorize Transversal projects.

•Partner with project leader, project sponsor, project steering committee, and functional resource managers to ensure Transversal projects are delivered on time, within budget, within scope, meet the expectations of the stakeholders, and achieve the benefits outlined in the project charter.

*Improve execution of Transversal projects:

•Implement and maintain project management processes to initiate, plan, execute, and close Transversal projects.

•Assist the project leader and project sponsor to define the objectives and scope of the project and to prepare a project request that is submitted via the One Entry Process.

•Assist the project leader and project sponsor to prepare cost, schedule, and resource estimates.

•Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks (e.g., resource, scheduling, and financial conflicts) through influencing and negotiating with multi-functional stakeholders and resource holders.

•Coach Transversal and VIA project sponsors, project leaders, project managers, and project team members (as required).

•Improve planning activities and processes and implement best project management practices.

Basic Qualification:

*Bachelors Sciences/Bachelors Arts in Project Management, Engineering, or Biological Sciences (or other technical degree)

*10 years managing complex, cross-functional Transversal related projects.

*5 years as a leader, manager, or supervisor in a Transversal environment.

*3 years portfolio management experience

Preferred Qualification:

*Master’s Degree

*Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Portfolio Management Professional (PMP)
