As an experienced project manager, it is expected that incumbent has a strong knowledge of good industry practices for project management, and a working knowledge of Project Controls Best Practices.  Documentation of formal training and/or appropriate professional or other industry certifications in project management and project controls techniques is highly desirable. The project manager will be accountable for time-tracking of project staff (both internal and external) and cost control, working with internal Project Controls team staff, and utilizing appropriate tools and SAP.  Incumbent must have experience with the capital project approval processes, and will be expected to support preparing the business case, and be integral to developing project execution plan, estimate and project schedule, as well as related project deliverables such as Project Purchasing Plan, Charter and User Requirements Brief.  Work with other Technical Services platforms to implement and assist in commissioning & qualification (C&Q) process on projects.

The ability to manage a large, dynamic and complex portfolio, under control and with transparent and effective communications to leadership is a key requirement.  The role requires good people-management skills, a demonstrated ability to engage in detail while maintaining a strategic focus, and a capacity to manage a large number of simultaneous activities.
