Responsibilities

Deputy Director Process Engineering

(Swiftwater, PA or Toronto, Ontario) The Deputy Director, Process Engineering will work under the guidelines of the Global Engineering & Maintenance management and in accordance with Sanofi Pasteur IA & R&D strategy and priorities, the process engineer ensures the support, services and pre studies for global projects. The Deputy Director will manage contractors to support projects and support activities. They will need to collaboration with multiple functional areas at all levels of the organization.

Key Accountabilities:

Project Based Activities:

*Contribute to innovation, especially for the integration of digital technologies at equipment level.

*Ensure that Process Modeling and Simulation activities within projects are executed on purpose and on time and provide their expertise, coordinate or lead technical pre studies, evaluate competencies gap of technical project team skills and advise project team for initial selection and during execution.

*Participate in Technical/value Engineering/Risk analysis Review, Direct Peer and Project Reviews with the capability of preparation, execution, and report closure.

*Participate to monthly site project reviews, ensure application of Good Engineering Practices, Technical Standards & Global Quality and HSE requirements in design, Participate to gate’s reviews and particularly at the end of Front-End Loading level 2 and 3(FEL).

*Contribute to project in case of difficulties and support Site Engineering as required, be active in key network groups (i.e. bulk and Simulation networks) with the goal of sharing expertise and supporting lessons learned development.

Support Activities:

*Ensure to maintain and develop bulk equipment technologies, provide support on equipment modelling and simulation.

*Ensure the interface between equipment and process database.

*Define and maintain GEG’s and typical template documents as part of harmonization of Global Sanofi and Site standards.

*Participate to Production Support when requested.

*Interfaces with Site Engineering, Engineering contractors, MTECH, PMF, Quality, HSE, IPL.

*Involve with Engineering Mentorship and develop potential successors for the GESS organization.

Basic Qualification

Bachlores degree in a Life Science or Engineering field

8 Years experience in process engineering.

8 Years experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Chemical, Food Industry or a combination of them.

Preferred Qualification

Masters degree in a Life Science or Engineering field
