The Thought Leader Liaison role is a field-based position focused on working closely with U.S Key Opinion Leaders at RA Centers and leading community practices to ensure cross-functional resources are made available as appropriate. The four areas of focus for a TLL are KOL engagement, executive encounters management, advocacy development, and liaising with marketing. In this role, a TLL will work closely with the field, RBDs (Regional Business Director) and ABMs (Area Business Manager); in addition to home office based colleagues in Marketing, Medical, Sales, and Market Access. The behaviors that are critical for success are collaboration, communication, planning, relationship building, and the ability to execute tactical initiatives and provide timely feedback. TLLs will report to the (Sr.) Director Thought Leader Liaison (DTLL).

Job Responsibilities

The TLL job responsibilities are focused on four key areas.

KOL Engagement

  • Aligning with cross functional account plans & teams, the TLL orchestrates  resources at the top 10%-15% of accounts
  • Identify profile, cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with RA Centers and KOLs within the RA community
  • Conduct substantial business conversations focused on product, disease state and company in and outside the office setting
  • Executing unique HCP programming e.g. disease state and product as directed
  • Facilitate cross functional local account planning aligned with the RBD and DTLL direction for each assigned KOL / RA Centers, with executional milestones
  • Single point of contact to resolve issues when appropreate; aligning with RBDs, ABM, MSL, & DTLLs
  • Execute a customer centric needs based approach with targeted KOLs

Orchestrates KOL Executive Encounters and Engagement

  • Working closely with marketing and sales to orchestrate KOL headquarters visits
  • Plan and execute KOL engagements at local, regional and nationals conferences, POAs, in field engagements, and other venues as directed
  • Act as a liaison between KOLs / RA Centers and home office cross-functional teams

Advocate Development

  • Assisting with on-label speaker development, with approved decks and materials
  • Providing speaker recommendations to marketing
  • Assist in the execution of contracts when needed, supporting marketing

Marketing

  • Work with targeted HCPs to obtain feedback in the development of RA  Franchise and Brand-related marketing strategies/materials
  • Become the single point of contact for high volume speaker logistic/scheduling and working cross functionally to ensure appropreate communication
  • Provide advisory board participant recommendations and attend advisory board where needed and appropreate
  • Pilot marketing programs before broad implementation

 Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • RA experience
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • A minimum of five years of work experience in one or more of the following: field sales, product marketing, or medical / clinical experience in the same or related therapeutic area within the pharmaceutical / biotech industry
  • Ability to assemble and lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success
  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups, targeting presentation to the needs of the audience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong project management experience, including superior analytical and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under tight timelines
  • Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary
  • Valid driver's license
  • Must reside within the geographic area of the assigned territory, or within a reasonable distance as determined by the DTLL
  • ~ 60% - 80% travel likely; could be less based on geography
  • Work within regulatory and legal compliance guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Launch experience preferred
  • Marketing experience preferred
