The Head of Manufacturing is responsible for all manufacturing activities at the site and is an active member of the Ridgefield Site Leadership Team. The incumbent will determine the strategic direction of the site’s manufacturing department, setting the plan for products, processes, and factory relationships with the goal of increasing efficiency and profitability.

Who We are:

Ridgefield Facility is an approved for Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturing with the United States as well as Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. Ridgefield has implemented leading-edge technologies such as RABS (Restricted Access Barrier Systems) and isolator systems, and high-speed integrated fill/finish lines. The site has ISO 5 (grade A) clean rooms and uses advanced aseptic technologies in the manufacturing process.

This state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is located in northeastern New Jersey, five miles from New York City. Ridgefield offers residents a suburban feel and has many young professionals and surround with trendy communities like Edgewater, Fort Lee and Hoboken, NJ with convenient highway and public bus access.

Job Highlights:

*The role is responsible for operating plans and priorities for production that are aligned with our delivery objectives and appropriate resources are in place to fulfill near-term goals and commitments while building towards sustainable manufacturing excellence.

*Oversees, directs, and supports the manufacturing organization according to Sanofi policy to achieve business objectives that will have a major impact on the success of the Corporation and a safe working environment in manufacturing for all employees and contractors.

*Strong coordination and alignment between Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Maintenance and other support functions and that products are produced and stored according to the current set of instructions.

*All personnel, including contractors, consultants, and temporary employees who work in Manufacturing and directly or indirectly support CGMP activities, have the necessary education knowledge, and skills to perform their job in accordance with applicable procedures and regulations.

*Oversees, either directly or indirectly, Manufacturing investigations, CAPA, process variances and deviations.

*Manages headcount and participates in setting the site annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes. Oversees and manages the manufacturing budget to plan. Participates in the development, revision, and accuracy of the short range and long range production plans.

*Leads the Manufacturing team to excellent performance through a structured manufacturing system based upon SMS with the use of Operational Excellence tools.

*Manages employees, either directly or indirectly, who are involved in the scheduling, implementation, execution, and/or maintenance of manufacturing processes and operations.

*Creates functional excellence for area of responsibility and helps to integrate that capability into daily operational practices

Basic Qualifications:

*Bachelors or Master’s degree in the Life Sciences or Bio/chemical Engineering

*15 years of progressive technical/operational leadership experience or equivalent.

*10 Years of pharmaceutical cGMP experience
