Summary of Purpose and Major Responsibilities:
A VaxServe Account Specialist (VAS) develops and manages strategic partnerships withcomplex customers.
The VAS should understand and anticipate business needs and support customer needs through commercial offers, business solutions, and other marketing/brand strategic initiatives.
The VAS is responsible for achieving/exceeding sales and marketing objectives within complex customers, such as Retail Pharmacy Chains, Mass Merchants, Grocers, Independent Pharmacies, Closed-Door Pharmacies and Group Purchasing Organizations.
This position utilizes proactive business analysis, marketing insights, and customer knowledge/observations to provide insights to drive sales and create strong relationships.
The VAS will be responsible for maintaining expertise in segment strategy and tactics and executing via the selling model.
This position will partner with key internal stakeholders, specifically operations, contracting, marketing, Sanofi brand and other Sanofi business units.
Key Accountability:
Sales Performance
Achieve financial/quota goals and sales objectives within assigned segments & customers
Execute customer sales calls via phone, multi-media, and in person account sales calls
Effectively execute strategies/tactics, contract negotiations and other activities to meet sales goals
Business Analytics & Sales/Territory Planning
Develop and maintain territory forecasting models/business plans aligned with VxS goals
Create effective territory plans for customers while consistently meeting customer engagement metrics/goals, operational needs and recording call activity
Effectively utilize customer and market data sources (e.g. claims, contract performance,
CI) to identify trends, create insights to drive sales, & forecasts
Customer Knowledge & Market Insights
In-depth understanding of your assigned customers decision making process, immunization practices, brand choice, product usage and market insights to support sales goals & strategy
Proactive and routine communication of customer and market observations (written/verbal)
Collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders, and business partners across the
organization to positively impact business results (e.g. Sales, Mktg, Ops, Analytics, Finance, etc.)
Compliance
Maintain all compliance standards and complete all trainings
Bachelor’s Degree
Requires minimum 1 – 3 years in sales role with pharma or vaccine industry
Previous vaccine sales, industry or account management experience preferred.
Experience working with complex/organized customers is preferred.
Strong foundation in business analysis, contract / pricing models
Experience selling to multiple customer segments and engaging with various decision makers
Ability to demonstrate effective communication skills (both written and oral)
Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.
