Responsibilities
The Bioanalytics Characterization group, part of the Global CMC Development organization located in Framingham, Massachusetts, is seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will utilize advanced bioanalytical tools with a focus on mass spectrometry, chromatography and biophysical-based techniques to characterize a variety of biotherapeutics at all stages of development to enable critical decision-making and ensure the successful development of new drugs.
Key Responsibilities
Utilize novel/state-of-the art mass spectrometric, chromatographic and biophysical tools to perform characterization of biopharmaceutical development candidates in a GLP setting
Plan and execute experiments including sample preparation, preparation of reagents, enzymatic digestions, instrumental analysis and data analysis
Assist in the execution of degradation pathway studies according to ICH guidelines
Provide analytical support for batch characterization, forced degradation, comparability and structure function studies
Basic Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline with >2 years of relevant industry experience
Hands-on lab experience of chromatography, mass spectrometry and other biophysical tools for protein and peptide characterization
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated, well organized and detail oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Protein and peptide LC/MS experience
Experience in biophysical techniques for protein analysis (e.g. Analytical Ultracentrifugation, Circular Dichroism, DLS and SEC-MALS) desirable
