Department description:

This position is within a Global Antibody Discovery and Technology Development Group part of Biologics Research with focus on delivering into and enriching a competitive company pipeline in Oncology, Immunology and Inflammation, Neuroscience and Rare blood disorders. 


  • Lead a team of scientists directly as well as via matrix management to execute on project plans and strategy, analyze data, trouble shoot, and ensure that timelines are adhered
  • Develop sound project plans taking into consideration the biology of the disease.
  • Work transversely, in partnership with therapeutic area and project management peers to characterize, triage and select leads
  • Present in different various internal and external forums
  • Provide guidance to direct reports in professional and career growth.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Ph.D. with a minimum of 10 years’ experience working with antibody display libraries and next generation sequencing.
  • Understanding of immunogenetics
  • Hands on experience working with generation, screening and characterization of antibody display libraries
  • Knowledge of automation, large data set analysis and  technologies and concepts related to protein therapeutics.
  • Sound understanding of biochemistry, molecular biology, immunology as well as translation of biotherapeutics from discovery to development and clinical phase. (
  • Experience managing a team and/or having direct reports
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with and/or interest for computational discovery and artificial intelligence based third generation discovery and engineering platform
  • Strong publication history and active networking within the biotech community
