Responsibilities
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
This is a bulk production operation for Fermentation, Purification, and Drying of bulk HA.
POSITION OVERVIEW WITH KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Summary
Perform manufacturing operations with the need to be able to direct lower-level personnel and maintain operations on a daily basis.
Core Responsibilities
Operate complex systems and equipment under minimal supervision in strict accordance with current GMPs, SOPs, and safety guidelines.
Perform and/or direct preliminary troubleshooting activities. Solicit direction from senior personnel as needed.
Train less experienced or new staff on new procedures.
May provide work direction to lower-level staff.
Author new procedures of moderate complexity as well as revise current procedures.
Strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Execute cross-training with fermentation and purification.
Assist with deviation investigations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or equivalent with 5 plus years’ experience.
This position also requires physical demands of lifting up to 50 pounds and may involve work with hazardous materials.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
B.S. degree or a biotechnology certificate with two-plus years of related cGMP large scale production operation work experience.
Candidates should demonstrate good technical writing skills, good troubleshooting skills, strong attention to detail and developed communication skills.
Candidates with large or small-scale bioreactor production experience are highly preferred.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires physical demands of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must be willing to work weekends or required to work overtime to meet production standards.
