Who We Are

The Framingham campus is a diverse Biotechnology hub conducting commercial manufacturing and strategic research and development operations. The Framingham Facilities Operations (FFO) department is responsible for providing corrective and preventive maintenance and support services for the building(s), equipment and shared utilities at the Framingham Campus. FFO is directly responsible for reliable, efficient, and sustained operation of the facility and all equipment. FFO supports current and future projects and site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate and site requirements.

JOB HIGHLIGHTS:

The Maintenance Technician I reports to Facilities management and cooperates with team members to achieve site goals and directives.

Primary objectives of the role are:

  • Perform general facility maintenance tasks, such as caulking, insulation replacement, epoxy painting, floor repairs, rust removal, cosmetic repairs, FRP and sheetrock installation and repair within a clean manufacturing environment

  • Assisting with elastomer changeouts on complex utilities

  • Participation in completing and providing accurate documentation as required in cGMP operations.

  • Pre-staging parts for time sensitive PM plans

  • Safety device checks, such as eyewash stations and safety showers

  • Provide responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction

  • Vendor escorting

  • Overseeing bulk gas offloads

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years’ experience in basic facility/plant maintenance.

  • Sufficient written and verbal communication skills.

  • Requires working in a clean room manufacturing environment including gowning

  • Able to climb ladders

  • Able to lift 50 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working within a regulated environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements for industrial plant maintenance.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Manufacturing
    Technical Support, Facilities and Engineering and Validation

  • Working knowledge of CMMS (INFOR)

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

  • The hired candidate will report to Facilities management

  • The candidate will work first shift (7 AM – 400 PM Monday – Friday)

  • Due to the nature of this position, it is on-site only
