The Global Manufacturing Science and Technology (MSAT) Process Science group is based at the biologics hub in Boston. Global MSAT’s function within Specialty Care Operations ensures robustness and economics of cell-culture based manufacturing processes in support of biologic product Life Cycle Management. MSAT Process Science is the owner of all industrial manufacturing processes, analytical methods, and associated process control strategies for antibodies and antibody-like molecules expressed from mammalian systems.


This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly-growing MSAT group that will work to support the development of products within the Sanofi network. The Lab Coordinator will support upstream cell culture, downstream purification, and analytical development in a newly established MSAT lab. This individual will have the opportunity to have early and significant impact in this growing group.
This position is responsible for performing a variety of complex tasks under general guidance.
He / she will: 
ï‚· Contributes to development projects (process development and improvement, commercial manufacturing support, global tech transfer, and process validation)
ï‚· Assists in developing best practice for medium/ buffer preparation
ï‚· Establish and maintain equipment log books as needed
 Practices and promotes safe work habits and adheres to Genzyme’s safety procedures and guidelines
ï‚· Assist with Safety Committee, Safety meetings, Safety initiatives, and maintaining safety quality checks of laboratories
ï‚· Liaison with Metrology department to ensure equipment is calibrated in a timely manner including support and maintenance for the pipette calibration program
ï‚· Liaison with Facilities to provide lab equipment and utility support
ï‚· Submit lab equipment, materials, and supply procurement requests, and perform invoice tracking
ï‚· Assist with receipt and installation of lab equipment
ï‚· Assist with maintenance and qualification of laboratory instruments.
ï‚· Assist in managing the inventory of chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
ï‚· Perform routine lab activities such as operation of equipment (autoclaves, parts washers, pH meters, balances, etc.)
ï‚· Prepare media and buffers, assembly bioreactors, clean biosafety hoods, etc.
ï‚· Assist in managing cold rooms, freezers, and in managing sample receipt and storage
ï‚· May perform department administrative duties as needed including generating procedures
ï‚· Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of lab area
ï‚· Demonstrates ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical operations
ï‚· Effectively uses Microsoft office applications

 High School Diploma/GED with 3-4 years in cGXP lab environment, or Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of experience.
ï‚· Demonstrated interpersonal skills and experience working with diverse teams.
ï‚· Strong organization skills; strategic thinking and working independently with general supervision.
ï‚· Strong communication skills


 Bachelor’s degree with 3-4 years of experience in cGxP lab environment
ï‚· Prior lab support experience


ï‚· Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
ï‚· Ability to stand for 6 hours in a lab environment.
ï‚· Ability to work occasional weekends, or holidays as required by the business need
