US CHC Medical department acts as a strategic catalyst to the CHC business to ensure the development and support of innovative consumer-friendly healthcare solutions; solutions based on actionable medical insights and utilization of credible scientific evidence. Through scientific engagement this department helps shape medical knowledge and clinical practice to provide better health outcomes and helps Sanofi achieve its mission of Empowering Life.

Job overview

Take responsibility for the medical/scientific oversight and support of the dermatology and oral health therapeutic area portfolios which include pharmacologic and related non-pharmacological products. Main responsibilities include the generation of credible scientific evidence to support product safety and clinicaldifferentiation; Scientific innovation based on credible evidence and actionable insights; and effective collaboration internally and externally to evolve scientific engagement and improved consumer health outcomes

Responsibilities

·Generation of credible scientific evidence supporting product safety and differentiation, including coordination and oversight of clinical study concept, protocol design, product shipment, study conduct and monitoring, data analyses and interpretation, and study report finalization

·Scientific innovation and development of promotional claims based on credible evidence and actionable medical insights

·Effective collaboration internally and externally to evolve scientific engagement with key external experts, health authorities and shapers of health care systems

·Enhance effective self-care and improved consumer health outcomes by promoting and developing creative, evidence-based, consumer-oriented solutions

·Provide strategic medical stewardship for the dermatology and oral health therapeutic product portfolios to ensure innovative life cycle management and implementation of empowering self-care solutions

·Develop and monitor the medical budget for the dermatology and oral health product portfolios and reinforce accountability on milestones, budget and delivery of medical commitments

·Lead all required product safety and testing activities needed to support the dermatology and oral health product portfolios

·Develop capabilities to enable delivery of quality medical and strategic stewardship

·Provide strategic medical and scientific insights to Product Development for new product ingredients and new technological evaluations

·Respond to, and/or triage, all product/formulation related consumer inquiries about product safety, formulation, (non)clinical testing policies and procedures, and potential drug interactions

Basic Qualifications

·Ph.D. in toxicology is required

·Deep knowledge and understanding of (pre)clinical/cosmetic study design and conduct, preparation of safety evaluations, health/toxicology risk and exposure assessments, in vivo and in vitro toxicology study design and monitoring requirement

·Knowledge of US/Canada/EU regulatory requirements related to safety assessments, toxicological issues and concerns for consumer products

·At least 10years of experience in consumer health care, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industry conducting (pre)clinical studies and medical stewardship of dermatological product

Preferred Qualifications

·A B.S. degree in Chemistry is strongly preferred

·Knowledge of applicable product registration requirements, PCPC industry representation and toxicology risk management

·Experience managing a Clinical Research Organization

·Qualified auditor certification and experience
