Job Summary and Major Responsibilities
Posting for the Business Analysis & Controlling Lead of North America Manufacturing and Supply Organization in the Consumer Healthcare Global Business Unit. This is a new position that will report directly to the Head of Finance Performance CHC North America – Industrial Affairs.
Scope
Responsible for all reporting aspects for North America CHC IA during Financial closings and Planning cycles
Business Analysis & Controlling for North American Region - Manufacturing, Supply Chain & External Manufacturing organizations for CHC
4 Production Plants in Chattanooga, TN USA
1 Distribution Center in Chattanooga, TN USA
3 External Manufacturing hubs – USA, Canada, & France

Role & Responsibilities
Lead Strategic Planning, Budget & Rolling Forecast
Lead the financial reporting processes related to actual, forecast, & budget scenarios with the CHC BU for the North America Manufacturing & Supply Chain perimeter
Lead the Strategic Planning process – considering all relevant internal/external factors driving the long-term business strategy
Challenge business assumptions bringing analytical value to forecasting accuracy
Perform first level analysis on the actual monthly financial results (significant variances & consistency checks) during closings and forecast exercises
Actively monitor forecasting variances and articulate identified risks & opportunities
Identify assumptions underlying the Business plan (such as market, inflation, initiatives) and challenge to ensure consistency across the GBU
Data preparation, consolidation, and reporting – focused on financial statement quality & accuracy
Responsible for monthly performance review packages exhibited in PowerPoint
Support data consolidation in systems (TM1; SAP S4 Hana; Solar/Magnitude), including cross-system mappings
Ensure timely data reporting (to Business Units, Global IA, and Group Finance), respecting global deadlines
Group reporting – Atlas, Marco (Margin Consolidation), ISC (Industrial Standard Cost) Earning/Absorption template
Perform Other Finance Tasks
Development & designing of tools, systems & methods
Management of finance team, including development and training (though he does not have direct reports)
Ensure comprehensive compliance with internal controls and accounting principles
Support Master Data Management across multiple systems
Lead ad-hoc projects as necessary
Compliance:
Ensure financial submissions are prepared in compliance with Sanofi corporate guidelines – including accounting & financial procedures
Ensure proper use of accounting systems and software
Qualifications:
B.S. in Accounting or Finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred
7-10 years of accounting & controlling experience, preferably in the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) or pharmaceutical industry
Proficiency in Excel incl. pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
Ability to use various types of reporting and forecasting software (TM1, SAP)
Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to present and provide guidance to senior management
Experience demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to be pro-active and adaptable
Must possess professional communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, accountable and self-managed environment.
Experience working in a multicultural & transversal environment with demanding deadlines
Customer focused and results orientated
Autonomous & pro-active with the ability to work independently
Proven capacity to work transversally with cross-functional partners, eg. other Finance teams (FP&A, COE-Boost, Regional FBP), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business Support, etc.
Needs to understand macroeconomic trends and impacts to Business Unit
Ability to handle and simplify complex matters and propose innovative solutions
Ability to challenge the status quo and identify more proficient and secure ways of doing things
Ability to influence system designs based on understanding of functionality and different stakeholder needs, while ensuring compliance with internal control requirements
Fluent written and spoken English
