Sanofi Specialty Care focuses on complex disease areas where there is a significant unmet need with the goal of developing and delivering best-in-category treatments. Dupixent is a significant growth driver for Sanofi. 

Dupixent is a monoclonal antibody targeting Type 2 inflammatory diseases by blocking IL 4 and IL 13 cytokines. These cytokines play a key role in many atopic and allergic diseases such as Atopic Dermatitis (AD), Asthma, Nasal Polyps, Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE), and other dermatologic and respiratory diseases. Dupixent was approved in March 2017 for the treatment of adults with moderate to severe AD and has since received approvals down to 6 months of age for patients with moderate to severe AD, most recently in June 2022.  Additionally, Dupixent received approval for moderate to severe Asthma in October 2018 for patients 12 years and above. The Dermatology and Respiratory indications serve as anchors for this product which is referred to as a “pipeline in a product”, due to the many indications that are approved or are being studied. 

In less than 2 years since first approval, Dupixent achieved blockbuster status and requires top talent in the company to shepherd the success of this asset. The Sr. Director HCP Marketing will play a significant part in developing strategies, messages, and tactics to help realize the goals of this product.

Location: United States- Cambridge, Massachusetts, must already have US work authorization.

Position Summary:

The Senior Product Manager, US HCP Marketing, Atopic Dermatitis will be responsible for helping to develop, execute and measure key HCP marketing strategies and tactics to support the Atopic Dermatitis indication in close collaboration with the other members of the Dermatology and Franchise Marketing Teams.

Key responsibilities start with developing a thorough understanding of customer needs to inform the HCP marketing strategy and help develop meaningful material and tactics. The Senior Product Manager HCP Marketing will be responsible for leveraging core HCP messaging and creative campaigns to design, execute, and monitor the Personal and Non-Personal branded promotional programs. In addition, this role will work with the cross-functional team to ensure flawless coordination of activities across the organization. This role will report to the Senior Director, HCP Marketing.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Assist in strategic leadership for the brand, ensuring alignment to Where to Play and How to Win choices to drive sustainable sales growth and profitability

  • Participate in the development of the HCP marketing brand plan and ensure excellence in execution while ensuring consistency across functions Competencies and expectations associated with this role include but are not limited to the following:

    • Continuous assessment and validation of brand differentiation and reasons to believe

    • Brand positioning and message development

    • Unbranded campaign as needed

    • HCP Digital strategy development and tactical execution

    • Development of HCP in-office support strategy and materials

    • Customer segmentation and implementation strategies.

    • Partner with consumers and market development teams to have a consistent campaign.

    • Lead field communication and ensure appropriate training in partnership with training team.

    • Partner with sales leadership to gather relevant feedback and competitive intelligence

  • Partner with agencies and outside vendors to develop strategies, deliver tactics, and measurement

  • Work with market research to develop and execute research and measurement testing needed to develop programs and project and measure expected returns/success

  • Lead submission of materials with the regulatory review/approval process; Joint Review Committee (JRC)

  • Support the development and management of the Dupixent HCP marketing budget.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups which may include Marketing, Global Marketing, Sales, Research & Development, Medical Affairs, Business Development, Market Research, Life Cycle Management and Finance

  • Act as a sponsor and ally for inclusion and diversity in all elements of our business

  • Comply with all forms of legal and statutory regulation within domain of responsibility, including compliance with applicable SOPs, industry codes of practice and best practices and actively support and promote a compliance culture and safe environment throughout the organization

  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time

Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university. MBA or equivalent preferred and 2-3 years of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the key dynamics driving the US health care environment

  • Biologic product launch experience

  • Experience of working in an alliance and cross-functional matrix organization

  • Understanding of market research, creative development, and experience with the regulatory review/approval process

  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate all clinical data / publications to support business objectives

  • Ability to lead in an ambiguous environment across different functions and company cultures

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional groups which may include Marketing, Global Marketing, Sales, Research & Development, Medical Affairs, Business Development, Market Research, Life Cycle Management and Finance

  • Ability to think creatively and lead innovative projects

  • Ability to interact widely and effectively with co-promote partner (i.e., on an interdepartmental and interdisciplinary basis).

  • High level of interpersonal/communication skills with ability to

    • Communicate and present on different levels in the organization

    • Address the Marketing and Medical communities as a target groups

  • Passionate and confident in team environment.

  • Experience managing an advertising agency and related budgets.
