Job overview: The goal for this position is to define synergistic cytokine biology at the single cell level. This will involve a multi-layered approach to investigate the effects of cytokine activation cross-talk in complex human and mouse tissue environments at the single cell level. Results from these experiments will be used to identify pathways activated by multi-cytokine stimulations that may be relevant to human disease pathology and additional investigation into the effects of drug development candidates on these responses.
Responsibilities: Work in a collaborative environment to design and execute experiments involving human cell culture, ex vivo tissue explant cultures, and animal models of disease. Analysis and presentation of data, including multi-dimensional flow cytometry, RNA-sequencing, and single cell RNA-sequencing datasets.
Requirements and qualifications: PhD in immunology, or related filed, with an emphasis in type 2 disease and/or autoimmunity. The candidate should have experience with the design, implementation, and analysis of flow cytometry and single cell RNA-sequencing assays. Experience with murine models of type 2 disease and/or autoimmunity is preferred.
Terms of employment: 2 years
What makes this position unique: This role will offer a balanced training experience in both laboratory and computational studies of human cells and tissues and animal models of disease.
Benefits of working in this role: This role offers the opportunity to gain experience working in the pharmaceutical industry on a well-defined project with the potential to impact selection of drug development candidates.
