Responsibilities
The Head of Global Oncology Franchise Operations role will report directly to the Global Head Oncology and have a significant role to drive and implement strategic projects as well as take leadership role in driving and managing critical operational aspects of the leader’s role including leadership team meetings, off-sites and core organization wide initiatives.
Mission and Objectives:
The position will serve as the Global Head of Oncology’s primary strategic liaison with members of the Oncology Leadership Team and the cross functional teams of Development, Medical Affairs, Business Support, Value and Access, Finance and HR, to complete the projects assigned. In addition to the types of activities below, special projects will be added regularly based upon the evolving priorities of the business.
Ensure alignment and execution of the overall commercial strategy of the Global Oncology Business Unit
Responsible for prioritization, coordination and project management for Global commercial activities; ensures knowledge sharing and alignment, whether brand specific, cross-brand or phasing of project across teams.
Support the Global Head of Oncology by regularly reviewing business updates and highlight potential issues. Review and finalize monthly reports for submission.
Ensures a strong connection between the Global team and the regions
Provide operational support to Global Head of Oncology and his leadership team to help ensure strong collaboration, alignment and information sharing
Support the Global Head of Oncology with preparations for major meetings (internal or external)
Support emerging business priorities. Proactively highlight potential business issues to the Global Head of Oncology and support him in addressing them. Coordinate with other groups as necessary
Work closely with Sanofi Genzyme Communications in planning and gaining alignment for critical communication events/activities such as Town Hall meetings, and other employee face to face meetings for Global team.
Qualifications:
10 years related experience
Experience in therapeutic area of Specialty care, especially Oncology preferred
NA/Global Marketing and/or project management experience
Computer skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and Microsoft project)
Fluency in written and spoken English
Experience in matrix management of cross-functional teams.
Scientific knowledge
Knowledge of Clinical projects is a plus
Must have excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
Ability to work under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
Must exhibit strong leadership skills
Self-starter who functions well independently and within a team
Minimum Level of any Required Qualifications:
Masters Degree or the equivalent in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field
MBA or PhD would be an advantage
This position is based in Cambridge, MA.
The successful candidate will be required to sign and execute a restricted covenant upon hire.
