Responsibilities

Associate Director, SARCLISA Marketing

The SARCLISA Marketing (isatuximab-irfc) Associate Director (AD) will be responsible for developing and leading several key marketing projects critical to the success of the SARCLISA brand. The successful candidate will lead and support strategic and tactical execution of the SARCLISA marketing strategy. A key focus of the position is to manage the design, development, and maintenance of key digital and print channels as well as content to support Patient and HCP marketing programs for SARCLISA including:

  • social media initiatives

  • digital/mobile/print display media and programs

  • websites

  • customer relationship management (CRM)

  • performance reports and optimization

Drive consistency, coordination, and digital platform implementation across SARCLISA to deliver a positive HCP and patient experience. Prepare for new launch indications. Optimize current digital strategy considering the COVID environments impact on how to successfully communicate with customers. Focus on measurement and optimization of all digital programs to drive a successful digital strategy. Partner closely with HCP and patient marketing teams, patient services (Care Assist), IT, technology vendors, agencies, and other functions to ensure integrated delivery across all channels. 

In addition, the AD will be responsible for closely partnering with the corporate communications and patient advocacy teams, as appropriate, on key projects to support the SARCLISA brand.

The ideal candidate will have had prior pharmaceutical/biotech marketing, both HCP and patient marketing as well as digital marketing experience. They would also have experience working on large-scale, complex projects, supporting and working with various stakeholders.  The AD will report to the Director, SARCLISA Patient Marketing and will be based in Cambridge, MA (position will be remote until COVID environment improves).


Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the myeloma therapy area and market trends.

  • Develop and manage online brand campaigns to raise brand awareness, drive engagement, conversion, retention and loyalty.

  • Design, develop, and execute social media presence for the SARCLISA brand.

  • Design, develop, and execute an industry leading digital display presence for the SARCLISA brand.

  • Create and maintain channel guidelines and standards to meet review committee policies, brand standards and leading practices. (For channels such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, video, digital display and websites)

  • Evaluate and implement technology to support business requirements.

  • Manage agency partners and other vendors to ensure execution towards objectives.

  • Lead all measurement for the marketing team including KPIs and analytics dashboard to streamline and recommend opportunities for enhancement and optimization of digital marketing programs.

  • Continually review and analyze digital content, programs and inventory to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Apply learnings from market research, competitive intelligence, digital metrics and others to recommend strategies to enhance/better the customer experience.

  • Map and understand influential online websites/blogs or other initiatives that provide patient information.

  • Partner with Corporate Communications to develop and integrate public relations patient strategies and programs

  • Understand patient organization landscape and develop patient organization & advocacy strategy development in close partnership with Patient Advocacy/Public Affairs

  • Lead ad board(s) to gather insights from HCPs on strategic and tactical plans for the brand to optimize marketing plans.

  • Manage annual budget for projects ensuring strategic allocation of funds and monthly tracking to meet agreed spending targets.

  • Lead large, complex, cross functional projects, that are high exposure and high impact.

  • Ensure that all marketing processes, documents and tactics are developed and implemented in accordance with Sanofi Genzyme corporate compliance guidelines.

  • Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible external communications

  • Foster strong partnerships with Market Research, Market Access, Device Manufacturing, Regulatory/Labelling, Medical Affairs, Legal, PR/Communications, and other functions in co-developing the patient/consumer strategy, to ensure aligned objectives and implementation across all functions

Experience and Required Skills

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree required. Masters degree preferred.

  • 8-10+ years marketing experience, US pharmaceutical/biotech marketing experience preferred

  • Focused marketing experience including expertise in HCP and patient focused digital marketing. 

  • Knowledge expertise in the field of Oncology preferred

Required Skills:

  • Digital marketing technology experience

  • Experience in key principles of brand management, healthcare professional promotion, patient education and digital marketing

  • Proven ability to work in matrix organizations and with cross-functional partners

  • Strong commercial business acumen and ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical groups

  • Excellent analytical skills, well organized, and detail oriented

  • Ability to think strategically and work independently; strong presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage several large complex projects simultaneously

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation, and leadership skills 

  • Comfortable working in a fast pace and high expectation organization where the focus is on both what you do, and how you accomplish your goals and objectives
