About the opportunity
We are looking for an outstanding and experienced epidemiologist to reinforce our Sanofi General Medicine (GenMed) Pharmacoepidemiology team.
In this role, you will have the mission to address the needs of the company in terms of pharmacoepidemiological expertise, Post-authorization safety studies (PASS), research studies and will report to the Pharmacoepidemiology Head for General Medicine.
You will be the leader of your projects and spokesperson in your perimeter of products at the Global level with other global functions and with affiliates.

Reporting to the Pharmacoepidemiology Head for General Medicine, you will have to :
Lead the pharmacoepidemiology deliverables for Regulatory Authorities and support internal functions (e.g. pharmacovigilance, regulatory, medical affairs and the benefit-risk team) and affiliates with your expertise.
Lead the design and implementation of PASS/research studies accordingly with product’s strategy, timelines, regulatory commitments and budget.
Perform feasibility assessments: use the company's digital tools to access and perform preliminary analyses from databases available within SANOFI.
Conduct bibliographic analyzes on the epidemiology of risks, signal evaluation and answers to Health/regulatory authorities.
Occasional travel may be required.
About you :
You have a professional experience of 6 to 10 years as a pharmacoepidemiologist with track record of regulatory submissions (EMA and/or FDA).
Scientific profile as MD, Pharmacist and / or graduate of PhD in epidemiology field.
Structured and methodical, you are eager to apply your knowledge to assess challenging safety issues.
Scientifically driven person, for you the final goal of pharmacoepidemiology is to reinforce patient safety.
Oral and written English proficiency is required to work in an international environment.
You have a spirit of analysis and synthesis that allow you to clearly communicate complex epidemiologic issues.
Autonomous, you make decisions and initiatives in line with the defined strategy.
You have the experience and the ability to evolve in matrix environments.
Teamwork, excellent interpersonal skills and able to work in crisis situations.

The GenMed Pharmacoepidemiology team is a strategic and key asset of the cutting-edge Global Pharmacovigilance inside the R&D division of Sanofi. We are specialized in real world evidence methodsapplied to safety and we address scientific questions in line with our product’s strategy. We offer a scientific, diverse, and dynamic work environment fitting with the Play to Win strategy of our company. Inside Sanofi, Pharmacoepidemiologists develop, design, and deliver high quality epidemiology expertise and drug safety studies. They work in a matrix and international environment with other internal partners such as Global safety officers, Risk management plan, Medical affairs and the Benefit-Risk team. They perform literature reviews to address risk assessments, manage external partners to deliver regulatory submissions (study protocols, statistical analysis plan, study reports) and ensure expected levels of quality and scientific rigor across all pharmacoepidemiology projects. Contributions to the development of best practice sharing, participation as co-author in manuscripts, and mentoring more junior team members are encouraged. Pharmacoepidemiologists are accountable for on-time and on-budget delivery of their projects.
