This role will work cross functionally with key internal and external stakeholders to drive success in eCommerce accounts. The goal of the Activation Lead Manager is to support Omni-channel account managers in meeting their business and marketing objectives through the translation and execution of the eCommerce strategic plans. The Omni-Activation manager will report to the Sr. Director of Omni-channel.


  • Responsible for collaborating across Sales, Marketing, and our Retailer Media Agency to build retail media campaigns to create connections between shoppers and Sanofi brands, driving awareness/consideration/conversion and delivering against the Joint Business Plans for the stated account(s).

  • Own all phases of the planning process, including analyzing shopper, category, and retail sales trends, aligning key brand and customer priorities, and executing best-in-class retail media campaigns.

  • Build and execute seamless omni-channel campaigns using broad reach and targeted tactics that intercept the shopper along the path to purchase throughout the retailer ecosystems in store, online, and through grocery pickup and delivery.

  • Deliver profitable media and search return on ad spend by analyzing post-campaign analytics and optimizing future activations to ensure maximum reach and efficiency against key performance indicators.

  • Develop and collaborate on keyword, ad group, audience and targeting strategy, and refine overall activation plan based on flight objectives and vendor/platform capabilities

  • Manage continuous improvement of daily and weekly optimizations across a variety of platforms and clients

  • Collaborate with strategic planners, client leads, omnichannel specialists and creative teams to maintain the integrity of the program/engagement strategy throughout the development of the integrated experience planning process

  • Ensure brand messaging is consistent across eCommerce platforms across supported eCommerce accounts

  • Define key needs from supporting organizations (e.g. information technology, supply chain) to drive eCommerce success, develop business cases for investments, and advocate for required change / resources

  • Co-develop, with sales team/account managers strategy for eCommerce marketing spend (across onsite and offsite), alongside brand marketing teams

  • Track eCommerce channel performance and campaign results to develop best practice playbooks

  • Analyze and optimize performance of discount / promotion offers (e.g. right level), suggest plans for improvements

  • Manages the retail media budget, spend allocation, job approvals, and reconciliation in partnership with the Sanofi finance/AP teams.

Professional experience/qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in managing an eCommerce business and/or retail media activation to successful outcomes

  • Bachelor Degree - preferably Marketing/Business/Communication oriented

  • Proven track record of success in building eCommerce business through owning initiatives end-to-end, including defining objectives, project planning, resource allocation, key performance indicator development and implementation

  • Strong change management capabilities, ability to enlist the help of others without direct reporting lines

  • Strong communication skills – in particular, proven ability to communicate with a wide breadth of audiences: marketing, media, supply chain, technology partners, and agencies

  • Deep understanding of digital lead generation and brand building techniques using Search, Social and Programmatic (e.g. Targeting, content and creatives for programmatic and Social, search engine optimization and search engine marketing)

  • Data-fluency and demonstrated understanding of the adoption of technology and its impact to operating models and organizational structures

  • Exemplary project management skills, including ability to concisely advise on progress, roadblocks and success to drive project progress

  • Deep understanding and appreciation for achievement of Business goals and marketing objectives such as revenue & product contribution, return on investment and trial, retention and loyalty

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
