Responsibilities

Job Summary

The National Account Manager role has direct responsibility for building brand equity, sales and profits for Sanofi’s product portfolio across multiple categories.  The expectation is to achieve or exceed sales goals through a comprehensive vertical business management approach owning the process from top to bottom.  This position will manage Sanofi Brands within the Digital Commerce channel, specifically Amazon. The National Account Manager in this role is passionate about the business and an independent thinker with a team spirit.  Proven analytical and critical thinking skills are necessary, along with organization, persistent follow up and attention to detail.  Multi-tasking should be second nature. Excellent negotiation, listening, verbal and written communication skills are necessary as well as a comfort level presenting to both Sanofi CHC and customer senior management. 

Role Specific Responsibilities

  • Direct responsibility for building brand equity, sales and profits for key strategic brands in multiple categories

  • Achieve assigned sales quota through the maintenance and expansion of distribution, merchandising and promotional activity for all brands on Amazon

  • Develop executional plans to deliver on strategy and drive business outcomes, including definition of long-term strategy and objectives, derivation of short-term action plans

  • Own the annual operating plans and monthly SKU level forecasting to provide clarity to demand planners and supply chain regarding organic growth, merchandising plans, media plans and promotional activity that influence product supply needs. Identify 100% in-stock SKUs necessary to drive business.

  • Leverages internal and retailer datasets to evaluate daily / weekly / monthly alignment to Unit and organizational strategic and tactical directives including Retailer POS, Nielsen.

  • Work closely with internal Sanofi teams to align Digital Commerce and Retail strategy development and planning to ensure that all programs align to Retailer and Corporate objectives

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Sales Strategy, eCommerce COE, Supply Chain and Global to ensure ongoing alignment with digital strategies and transfer of digital commerce best practices

  • Develop standardized operational report detailing critical KPIs that monitor and track performance on Amazon in order to directly manage the business and to communicate account status to internal stakeholders

  • Identify and generate business cases supporting the implementation and execution of new capabilities that allow Sanofi to be a leader in the digital commerce space

  • Contribute to annual sales planning and budgetary process by developing annual plans and media, trade and promotional investment opportunities

  • Verify and confirm all inbound purchase orders and invoices to ensure accuracy and insertion into Sanofi’s system for reconciliation

  • P&L/budget management accountability.

  • Actively monitor Amazon platform to identify and evaluate both changes and opportunities to drive strategic and tactical objectives.  Continuously evaluate competitive behavior to discern strategic direction and blunting while also evaluating non-competitive behaviors for opportunities in Sanofi's portfolio space

  • Work directly with partner Agency to develop strategies, align on objectives, develop GTM executions and review ongoing execution KPIs / business performance

  • Develop QBR and JBP decks detailing activation summaries, category insights, benchmarks, strategic imperatives and scorecards

  • Continuously monitor media KPIs to evaluate campaign success criteria and align to benchmarks established supporting Precision Marketing frameworks

  • Develops annual plans to leverage merchandising capabilities to drive consumer demand / awareness.  Establishes benchmarks for each campaign and provides a detailed summary of program elements and learnings for future merchandising executions.

  • Continuously monitors the current portfolio for distribution opportunities and right-sizing based on Retailer ecosystem and works to bring in all new item innovation in support of sales and profit objectives

  • Contribute to and lead the execution of Sanofi's core product assortment on Amazon while also identifying opportunities for assortment expansion, bundling, gifting, partnerships, etc.

  • Work collaboratively with the Content Team to develop best in class Retailer experiences that promote brand awareness, conversion and loyalty

  • Collaborate and own the internal relationship with customer service to educate, onboard and ensure operational effectiveness

Qualifications

Education: BA/BS from an accredited college with a focus in business preferred.

Experience: 5+ years proven sales experience in a related position with direct account responsibility. Amazon experience within HBA categories preferred.

Professional Skills: 3+ years experience utilizing Nielsen or IRI syndicated data and excellent written and oral communication skills, ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights. Amazon Vendor Central, Amazon Brand View Pro, Amazon Marketing Cloud experience preferred

Role Specific Competencies: This position requires extensive use of computer equipment. Must have a demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft business software to include Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with Nielsen or IRI programs is preferred. This position requires the ability to travel and have overnight stays.

Special Requirements: Position location is flexible. 30% travel required.
