Position Summary:

The Meningitis Brand Lead is directly responsible for overseeing the marketing of MenQuadfi and drive lifecycle management in partnership with the global team. The Brand lead will drive development and implementation of the brand strategies to optimize product performance of ~$700M in net sales.  This position will oversee the assessment, research, creation, and execution of meninge strategy to achieve dose and revenue goals. This position will manage the day-to-day activities of the Meninge marketing team to develop and implement strategies, objectives, budgets, forecasts and financial plans. This position will also partner closely with key stakeholders, such as market access, sales, advocacy, and medical to achieve outcomes.

Reports To:  Head of PPH, Boosters, Meninge Franchise Head

Major Responsibilities:

Strategy and Plans

  • Develop and deploy strategies to achieve business goals, maintain/improve sales, profit, customer preference, and cash flow consistent with goals of the BU and the long-term strategic plans of the company

    • Proactively shape the customer market environment, develop customer/channel marketing strategies to position our products and create value for company and our patients/customers, build account management capabilities to defend and improve our market position and depth of access by delivering strong, trust-based relationships with customers and stakeholders

    • Challenge existing processes and practices to create a differentiating innovation in all aspects of delivery

    • Define training requirements and ensure training development of sales and marketing teams

Deliver the Numbers

  • Achieve sales, profit, market share and cash flow targets within agreed budgets

Monitoring and Control

  • Monitor and review business performance of sales and marketing teams and ensure management actions are taken to secure adherence to agreed plans

  • Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness of all aspects of the business. Manage budget to highest impact opportunities.

External Relations

  • Ensure promotional activities are in compliance with guidelines and regulations

  • Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with customers (e.g. physicians, group practices, pharmacies, KOLs and payors) in the therapeutic area to support medical and commercial activities in alignment with compliance guidelines to ensure continued premiere status of the company

People and Organization

  • Lead teams with direct and in-direct reports

  • Provide personal leadership to inspire and motivate sales force and marketing teams to continuously strive for excellence

  • Select and develop key talent and ensure retention of high-performers

  • Strengthen the team and the company by creating a winning spirit and by developing excellence-oriented and customer-focused culture, fostering innovation and building best in class teams

  • Drive talent acquisition, succession planning and development of employees

Educational Requirements:

Undergraduate degree in business or related discipline required. An advanced degree is a positive; an MBA preferred.


  • A seasoned and talented individual with at least 7 years of demonstrated success in a variety of marketing, sales leadership, and general management roles of progressively greater scope and responsibility.

  • Deep experience in the US, specifically in the area of vaccines.

  • Proven command of classic marketing disciplines and techniques and extensive sales leadership experience. Demonstrated success in commercial planning, aggressively growing and managing products through their life cycle is important.

  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to develop next generation leaders; excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with the ability to interface seamlessly with other parts of organization.

  • A track record of cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management in a global, matrix environment.

  • Holds self and others to high degree of integrity, ethics and accountability

As a healthcare company and a vaccine manufacturer, Sanofi has an important responsibility to protect individual and public health. All US based roles require individuals to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as part of your job responsibilities.

According to the CDC, an individual is considered to be “fully vaccinated” fourteen (14) days after receiving (a) the second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or (b) the single dose of the J&J vaccine. Fully vaccinated, for new Sanofi employees, is to be fully vaccinated 14 DAYS PRIOR TO START DATE.
