At Sanofi General Medicines, we have made a commitment to developing a competitive presence in the Digital Solutions (virtual health care & integrated care) commercial market.  Improving outcomes is the main objective of the Digital Solutions team  and a key component of the value proposition that it represents to customers.  This role will serve to both create and execute outcomes evidence and value based agreement with payer customers in support of the Digital Solutions portfolio. 

The Director of Field HEVA is a newly created role which will serve as a critical member of the Market Access matrix, partnering with the Market Access Value and Access, Account Management, Marketing, field Medical, and home office Health Economics teams to communicate product value and secure access. 

The Field HEVA role is a member of the US Market Access team within General Medicines. The Field HEVA role works within a field matrix team to engage Access organizations and decision-makers across the US in the execution of virtual health care and integrated care solutions.  They will combine the technical knowledge of HEVA with the knowledge of the U.S. healthcare system's business models to effectively engage, deliver and generate impactful data and agreements to support the portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • This a field-based position although the expectation is that a significant percentage of customer engagement will be virtual. 

  • The main responsibilities will be communicating product value propositions and HEVA evidence / models, designing and implementing value based agreements and or replicating studies in support of VHC. 

  • The Director will partner closely with home office Value and Access and HEVA teams on the development and implementation of the US HEVA strategy, plans, and research to support portfolio access

  • The Director will be required to direct research strategy to ensure Sanofi answers key questions in the health care marketplace driven by direct payer insights in accordance with Company policies and in collaboration with the home office medical matrix teams, Market Access and HEVA.

  • The Director will concentrate their field-facing activities on specific targeted accounts defined by the V&A strategy

  • Director will partner directly with the Value and Access and Account Management teams to support customer engagements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Ability to drive a company-provided car is an essential qualification of this position. Candidates must be able to drive a Sanofi provided vehicle between locations (often a great distances apart), and arrive at each location ready and able to enthusiastically and efficiently demonstrate an applied knowledge of pertinent health care industry trends. Candidates must possess a high level of ethics, integrity and responsible and safe driving history.

  • Doctoral trained professional (PhD, PharmD, MD) with an emphasis in health services research, health economics research, market access contracting, public health, health services, or related field.

  • A Masters level degree will be considered if degree is specific to health economics or outcomes research, with appropriate clinical background and years of experience.

  • Minimum five years of previous work experience in the pharmaceutical, managed care, or consulting industries with a primary focus on Market Access (public or private payers) with specific experience conducting health economics and outcomes research in all stages of the research process

  • Demonstrated expertise in health economics and outcomes research, candidate should include their publication list.

  • Must possess the ability to understand, interpret and make recommendations concerning the evolving US healthcare marketplace and comparative effectiveness research.

  • Must have a proven ability to build customer relationships.

  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and communications skills.

  • Flexibility to travel is required.

  • The amount will depend on geographic location of customers & home base.

Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.
