Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Category Analyst role, supporting Walmart, Dollar, and Club is a key role within the Sanofi Category Management team, with responsibility for tracking, understanding, and diagnosing business performance, delivering ongoing reporting needs, supporting assortment & shelving recommendations and providing insight in support of category selling objectives. The role is highly collaborative, providing support across all Sanofi’s categories and working closely with other members of the Category Management team, the Account Management team, Sales Strategy, and the broader Commercial Strategy team. The Category Analyst has a passion for data-driven insight and customer partnerships, helping to build compelling category sales stories that drive alignment with Walmart, Dollar, and Club to generate mutual growth opportunities. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Leveraging syndicated data to deliver weekly and monthly reporting dashboards, maintaining and evolving the dashboards as needed over time

  • Delivery of weekly POS reporting with supporting insight

  • Tracking business trends and impact of changes to Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving activities to identify issues and opportunities

  • Lead development of line review content for all categories, in partnership with National Account Manager and Sales Strategy

  • Development of selling presentation content for the sales team, from a category perspective

  • Development of data-driven insight-based recommendations by leveraging retailer, syndicated consumption data, loyalty data & consumer panel data

  • Development of customer-specific Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving (AMPS) recommendations

  • Providing Sales Team with analytical support to develop insights into category issues and opportunities

  • Bring creative thinking and a solution mindset to the team, proactively identifying opportunities for growth

  • Leveraging Assortment Management tools to conduct assortment analysis by category and brand

  • Builds planograms and analyses shelving opportunities, leveraging virtual reality software

  • Partner across the Category Management team to share best practices and learnings

  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1-3 years of proven delivery in Consumer Product Goods.

  • Strong business acumen; comfortable in analytics and analytical tools (EX: PowerBI, Tableau, etc..)

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential solutions and communicate them effectively

  • Experience utilizing Nielsen or IRI syndicated data, customer loyalty data and consumer panel data, with the ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights

  • Ability to bring outstanding interpersonal skills (including excellent oral and written communication), strong problem-solving skills to any discussion with colleagues and/or customers

  • You are a learner - always seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you

  • You thrive on direct, honest, and supportive communication

  • You are always thinking about how to help the teammates around you excel

  • Extremely organized, dependable, and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

  • B.A./B.S. required

 This role will work remotely in the US from Arkansas or Tennessee. Qualified candidate must currently be located in the US. There is no visa sponsorship available for this position.
